Default The England 1966 Project

Hi guys,
I have come up with the idea of creating a custom db using 8.02 patch containing the famous 1966 England team. This will be a club playing in the English Blue Square South. It will contain myself as Chairman, possibly 1966 FA bigwigs as directors, Alf Ramsay as manager, possibly 1966 coaches and physio but will defo have all the famous 1966 players including Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters, Bobby Charlon, Jack Charlton, the late Alan Ball, the late Bobby Moore and Nobby Stiles. It will also contain the old Wembley. I would have chosen the new Wembley but then thought of fixture clashes with the present England team ie them both playing a match on a Saturday.

I need help from FMF members in order to make this idea a reality. I would like:

Urgent
People files (I can do my chairman one)
Club info ideas (finances, atendences, reputation etc)
Old Wembley capacity info (capacity, seated, used and expansion

Once it is released
Logo ideas
A facepack

Anyone who wants to help out please ceck out my profile for my e-mail address and send me an e-mail.

Many Thanks,
Ant

An update on progress

I have enlisted Aaron's help on this and after a lengthy msn conversation we have decided to create not one team but 2. The idea is to stick with England 1966 and do another team as well.

We have decided to take 2 crap teams out of the Blue Square Premier and replace them with the 2 teams. Initial thoughts on the other team include either a England Legends to compent England 1966 or a Brazil 1966. Are these good ideas or have you guys got any other teams you would like to see? Do not suggest Germany or Argentina as they are our enemies and as such i disregrd them.

Aaron would like me to add a list of who is doing what so here it is:

Ant: Team Development and db creation
Aaron: Team development and db creation
Darlo: GFX he has kindly agreed to do the graphics side

And anyone else who wants to help out please check out my profile and e-mail me.

Thanks

Seany! Seany! Seany! As of this morning I have done complete team info (except team switch), staff includes board and manager (no coaches, physios or scouts as yet) and players up to Gordon Banks.

Waiting on feedback for team 2 cos we (me and aaron) are gonna replace 2 rubbish Blue Square Premier teams. Need suggestions from members as to this teams identity and then a decission will be made based on the most popular team requested.

Dargo will be doing GFX (add kits to the list Dargo cheers i need them as well lol). Need sponser ideas of who can sponser us (FMF?!) so that can be visable on the kits. However I could really do with solving this other team mystery so that I can set him off on designing the graphics. Not unless Dargo you want to crack on with England 1966 GFX for now? Whatever works best. I aint fussed tbh.

Thats a thought. A good popup to complent it (Sky Sports looks good). A working link and instalation instructions would be much appreciated. Poss time icon as well if that will work (was one that gave u both sumwhere but does that work in fm08?)

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys for your continued resourcfullness and evryone who is working on this plese KUTGW! We will be worshipped forever once this baby is released! Stardom awaits you..........

1966 ages in present day and 20s all the way!!!!! Dunno how u do height and weight tho cos isn't it in cm for height and kg for weight in the editor? I do stones and feet so how the heck do i convert it? Will prob come up as slightly off all 20s in the game but will be that standard sO I'd say world class youth players (majority would calculate to having been under 25 in 1966 with a few oldies for experience as Sir Alf used the rising star method in 1966 i think).

I assume Geoff Hursts stats will be hugely overrated?

(remember he wasnt a first choice striker)

Yeah we could have FIFA Legends. Shearer as striker or Pele or both. See Legends.rr or Legends Of The Game for inspirtion Fed. But u need people to back ur idea first Fed b4 it can be considered as a popular idea and as such be chosen as my elusive second team.

Zoff
Carlos Alberto Mattheus Passerella
Beckenbaur
Cruyff Platini Maradona

Brazil 1970!!!!!!they are apparently the greatest team ever so if you want I could do them for you, they had a right team. Or R.Madrid from the 50's. Either of them would be outstanding

eek we have 3 realli good ideas for team 2 brazil 1970, Real Madrid 50s and a FIFA Legends team. But I don't wanna disappoint any of u guys. We already have England 1966. If we go with all the 3 ideas mentioned that would mean 4 teams not 2. Premiership All-Stars would take it to 5 which would work but we need a decission soon. If u guys come up with any more teams we will need to take over the Blue Square Premier lmao. But seriously I do not want to be too bogged down with it. I'm looking to complete it by the end of April if possible and if I end up with heaploads it will put strain on the project and add some delays in getting this released.

Thanks
