I have made an All-Ireland League, I have merged them into the Northern Irish Prem - D2. I am going to start playing it when I find out how to delete a certain competiton that messes the fixture list up and is pretty much not required anyway, since it is an All-Ireland Cup from real-life.

I have posted in another section about how to delete comps, can anyone help please!

sorry mate i cant help you on that i have a similar problem-wondering how to make a non-playable league playable if the league exists in the database :P

Is there any way that you can change how you qualify for a competiton, or change it so it is done in a different country, and the teams from Northern Ireland/Republic of Ireland don't participate

I tried this with FM07 - doesn't work due to the Setanta Cup.

Asked the advice of SI's coders - they said nothing can be done to disable this and get it working.

I've stuck any N.Irish teams who would lose out in the Eircom League, plus a few teams, who would think they would be better in Eircom League, then moved a few District teams from South into Division 1 of Eircom.

I renamed the Setanta to the United Leagues Cup I havn't reached far enough in the season to see how the United Leagues Cup turns out but here's hoping it works out OK.

So far not too many problems, except in teh first season (I think it will only be the first) all the South teams still take part in the Irish League Cup, but that is because they have a Summer League and if you start in a N.Irish season, half way throught the Eircom league, it will process teh League Cup this way.
