Ok, After watching the Champions League yesterday I decided to start as Manchester United.
I remember a similar challenge like this for FM07 but with that challenge you had to start as one of Sir Alex's previous clubs and build your way up. However, with this one, you can start as Manchester United straight away.
The Aim:
The aim is to simply beat Sir Alex on the hall of fame records.
Time limit:
There is no time limit, as I feel it would be fun to become the best manager in Britain/World.
As FM08 doesn't have the 3 trophys won by Sir Alex this year (Community shield, Champions league & the Premiership, when you get close to beating Sir Alex's Hall of Fame record, you should consider*2 major trophies and 1 minor trophy* should be added to Sir Alex's record.
Once you beat Sir Alex, I would like you to post screenshots of Transfers in and out, for most/every season. I would also like you to post screenshots of Cup finals, league tables and anything else you find interesting.

Being Utd on FM aint that easy guys, first off we ave no money :S and because of the massive debt (which dont affect us in real life) you lose money pretty quick, the squad is quality tho and if you can sell a few players and bring in another striker to replace Saha you should be ok, nice challenge tho Lewis might have a go at this later on when i've had some kip lol |

This seems like a pretty straight forward challenge but like Lee said, United ain't that much of an easy team to use. I've seen United become a mid table club in years to come on FM 08 because of their financial problems.
I might give it a go later if I ever get bored of my Norwich game. |

Lee there is no need to replace Saha. Remember how he was doin for me? Like 12 in 8. I signed Huntelaar for them and sold noone, bit of a flop though tbh. Ive got a game with Utd goin so ill just keep goin with them and try and beat Sir Alex :P |

its easy but the Community shield doesnt count as minor trophey, the same way league cups dont or super cups. |

Yea but to surpass him you've got to win the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Cup, cant remember :) with ABERDEEN |

Suprass him as a number of trophies or as points in the Hall of Fame? If only on points i've alredy done it once. Will do it again with my second save next season.
P.S How many points does the new cups Sir Alex won this year will add to his score?
