Well I was in relegation zone. 1 win in 9 games wasn't going well but I've just played some crucial games. Won 3 in a row. Although Ive had last minute penalties in last 2 games! As you only play 18 matches in hong kong league those games could really be the difference. Im mid-table now. Im also in quarter final of the cup.

On a national front its even worse. Indonesia put me out of world cup qualifiers 5-4 on agg.

but im a fighter, I'll keep going and Im sure my career will improve over next few seasons! This season isn't over yet either it could still turn out ok. I'll post a few shots soon.

just got asian manager of the year! don't know how Im not doing that great but Im pleased about it anyway. My first major award.

Season 1 over. I avoided relegation which has to been seen as a success when you see what I was working with! heres the standings:



I am preparing now for next season. As well as a few brazilians which are quality players for standard of the league this has to be one of the best bits of business in the history of hong kong football. Former AFRICAN PLAYER OF THE YEAR signs for tai po! he might be old but he'll be fantastic in hong kong league.

yes right i have problems with player that goes on free transfer after contract is over then retired ..so i have lost 3-4 a-team player on Rwanda on just a couple of weeks

btw i think i am gonna restart with Singapore league and English league down to conference..is this ok?planes are to start with a low rep team in Singapore ..take them up to the top and so on try to get a job in england

yeah try that. might be a better option. Load a few leagues so you have more options.

Scotland- Division 3
Hong kong- first division
Italy- C1
Wales- Premier Division

looks like youre doing a great job wednesdayboy.

After 2 seasons at Tai Po. I established them in the Hong Kong !st division which was their 2 year plan. With the limited resources I consider that a success. I even won Asian Manager Of the Year during that spell.

I didn't renew contract though. I'd had enough of Hong Kong, resigned from national team too.

Was unemployed for a few weeks but as it was the end of the season its an ideal time to look for a new job. Worchester approach me and I accepted so this is my first step towards european success!

good luck mate you got to europe faster than me. looks like i'm going to england soon, lots of low league clubs pissed off with there managers and its only 2 weeks in lol.

But its going bad, my two star strikers dont want to renew there 1 year deals so going to lose them at end of year, so i've decided to sell them, accepted 2.3 mil for Vicente, my top scorer and selling the other for under 1 mil so we have loads of money to spend on new strikers if i stay for the season.

Lol what a year, and what a great time i've had in transfer market, my other striker is leaving to some team end of year for 1 mil so heres the facts.

sounds like a great piece of business in transfer market. Im not familiar with chinese players but im sure you've brought in able replacements. You look to be running away with the league. Worcester's squad is really poor but im expected to finish mid-table. Going to have to hunt around for some decent players on a free transfer.

what to do is resign. so you are unemployed. the small clubs wont pay out compensation. That helped me. I was applying to clubs while at Tai Po and even the worst clubs were rejecting me so I figure thats the reason.

As for worcester I didn't realise the date. Within a week in charge had my 1st league game. Dont know what the last manager was thinking he'd already blew the transfer budget on the worst players. My squad is terrible. Lost my 1st 2 games as a result. Hopefully I'll turn it round.

You need to sell mate even if you get nothing for them you need to get rid then buy, thats how I won with teams in low leagues, sell then rebuild. good luck. just resigned and now applying for jobs will keep you posted.

got lucky tho cos Carlisle are my parent club so got some great players from them and got rid of loads of our players cos we only had £350 for wages left cos the manager before was shit. Will post transfers when i've finished in transfer market, still buying and selling at mo.

Worcester were a no hope team. Like real managers I have my own certain style I like my team to play. Their players were so bad it just wasn't working. I got frustrated and resigned. With my management career going down the pan I feared I might not get offered another job but I was offered the job by Solihull Moors. They are expected to finish bottom of the league Conference south so they are a useless team as well but they were only founded in 2007 so whatever I do I'm really making history for the club. This could be the fresh start I need. I'll let you know how it goes. My total wage expediture right now is £543 thats for the whole squad currently! I cleared out there players on 'big' wages as they were no better than the youth.

ya thats the best way to do it, do a clearout, why should a player valued as a reserve player be payed £300 a week whyen I can get 3 first team players on £100 a week each, another is a good parent club for loans, its not that important but they make your job so much easier. Like i said sell them for next to nothing or nothing then buy replacements for free, also look out for a player call anyinsah, if he's not moved club then he's a good buy. good luck mate.

do you have a parent club that will loan you players, like oldham etc, they will loan you some great players. Also get an assistant so you can search for players that will want to come, another tip for you, when you have an assistant, look for a coach that has alot of Fitness rating, 13+ recomended. This will make all your players last longer on the pitch and also make all your weak young players stronger and in the lower leagues, that makes all the difference.
