What’s my challenge
Your challenge is too take Grays to the top level of English Football – The Barclays Premiership.
There is no time limit on this, unless you wish to set yourself a time limit. However, there is a time limit on the rest of the challenge.
After you have reached the Premiership, you must establish yourself as a Premiership team, challenging for the title – winning the league within five seasons.
After this, you will have three seasons to win the Uefa Champions league.
Cups
Although not required, try to improve your success, by winning a cup a season. This would mean first winning either the Setanta Shield or FA Trophy, in your first season.
From then on, up the Coca-Cola Championship, you’ll need to win either the FA Cup, League cup, or Johnston’s Paint Trophy.
Once you reach the Premiership, you’ll need either the FA Cup or League cup.
Winning these trophies will however, help you too complete the challenge.
How do I know when I’ve completed the challenge?
The basis upon which the challenge is set can only be completed via the amount of points you earn.
In context, this means there will be a point system. In order to complete the challenge, you will need a total of 10000 points.
You will receive:
100 Points for winning The conference
100 Points for winning The Setanta Shield
250 Points for winning the FA Trophy
275 Points for winning League Two
350 Points for winning League One
500 Points for winning The Championship
550 Points for winning The League Cup
750 Points for winning The FA Cup
1500 Points for winning The Premiership
2000 Points for winning the Uefa Cup
5000 Points for winning the Uefa Champions League
Seems a bit hard?
Obviously, you’re going to have ups and downs. You may get relegated, which doesn’t cost you points, but if you win that League again, you will receive more points.
You don’t win points for finishing runners-up in the League, or winning the Play-offs.
Relegation doesn’t cost you points.
However, if you get relegated from The Conference, you have failed the challenge.
You may not win the challenge first time round, you may need to win certain things more than once, in order to receive a high enough point total.
Reporting completion of the challenge.
Only I can am able to judge on whether or not you have completed the challenge.
In order to do this, I will require screenshots of the following things:
Grays Athletic history page (history of competitions etc)
Records page (in order to be able to check whether or not your record transfer fee received is believable, depending on the year and league you were in, so I know you didn’t buy a player with Chelsea for example for about 40 million in order to have a good transfer budget.)
People who have completed this challenge:
Good luck all
