Nottingham Forests roll of honour would be he envy of most Premiership clubs and when it comes to European cups Liverpool are the only club in England who have been successful and if you look across Europe they are one of only 19 clubs to win the European cup. And amazing not only did they win their first European Cup in 79, they also are 1 of only 7 teams to go on and retain the European cup. The club is steeped in history producing some of the best players and management to grace the English game, most notably the legend that was Brian Clough. Clough was at the helm of the for an amazing 18 years and in that time guided Forest to League success in 78 and two European cups and four League cups. Clough was with the club when Forest dominated Europe …. But Clough was also in charge when Forests demise began. Forest were relegated from top flight English football in 1993 and although they won promotion back the following season and flittered with the UEFA cup also, Forest have never hit the heights of the 70’s In 2005 Forest slipped to out of the 2nd tier of English football and now play in the 3rd tier (League 1).
