So what i thought was making a thread where everyone can perhaps post there ideas on future FM challenges, maybe stuff like what clubs they think would make a good benchmark to start a challenge with, what leagues are the most challenging, whether they think the points system for completeing certain achievements during a challenge are worth while etc etc. I was already thinking about creating a FMF challenge league and maybe even a FMF challenge cup depending on the success and the number of replies in this thread, all of which are ideas I might add and might not actually work but hey anythings worth a shot eh people. P.S. Thanks for reading and of course anything posted inside here we be considered within reason. I think we should have a big online game with people playing as the full division, eg all 20 teams from the prem. And to avoid lagging issues, there should only be 5 people allowed on at a time because there aint gonna be 20 people around simultaneously but there will be guarenteed at least 4 or 5 who can spend time doing transfers etc whilst the other 15 arent around, and then another 5 can do the same, and so on! Hope that kind of explains it, please can people gimme opinions? | My Crazy Season - Click My Sig! A massive thanks to Ap, I really appreciate the awesome effort thats been put into this! I meant do it so you have 4 groups of 5 people and each day a different group plays the game, so over 4 days everyone will play once, and can sort out transfers etc, and if they need any help from others to get transfer deals through then they could ask! | My Crazy Season - Click My Sig! It would work over a long period of time and the idea of the challenge would be to have as many players as you can coming through your youth system as possible. The way of recording it would be a player that has come through the youth system (under the age of 17 when they joined) that has made over 10 appearances for the club in the league. The aim would be to be a successfull team in 5 seasons but at the same time, have as many youth products as possible. This would be a big test to peoples managerial skills because sometimes youth team players arent League standard! | Credit to Apthered for the awesome sig. | | | 17-02-08, 09:29 PM | #16 (permalink) | | The next Harry Redknapp Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Birmingham (Born an Bred in Salford tho :P) Posts: 685 Thanks: 64 Thanked 111 Times in 94 Posts | Wot like meaning u cant sign anyone mate and all ur players ave to come up thought the ranks or u can sign players and the more players u bring through the ranks the better? in other words say a time limit of ermmm 10 season's and the one with the most players brought through the youth system in the 1st team is declared the winner, am i on the right track ere?? | Current Game :- Zenit St. Petersburg 07/08 RFPL Winner | | | 17-02-08, 09:33 PM | #17 (permalink) | | Used In Squad Rotation Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Manchester Posts: 296 Thanks: 112 Thanked 40 Times in 30 Posts | Quote: Originally Posted by scholesy18 Wot like meaning u cant sign anyone mate and all ur players ave to come up thought the ranks or u can sign players and the more players u bring through the ranks the better? in other words say a time limit of ermmm 10 season's and the one with the most players brought through the youth system in the 1st team is declared the winner, am i on the right track ere?? | Yeah basically. You could sign players which would be a base for a successfull team but the more youth players as possible the better. Or you could be like an Arsene Wenger type manager and pick up loads of players under the age of 17 so then they would still count as your youth system eg. Fabregas at Arsenal, Richards at Man City etc. What you cant do though is just bung a load of youth players into your 1st team and then get relegated 3 seasons on the trot! The team would have to be successful or at least have a safe mid-table position in the division you're working in. | Credit to Apthered for the awesome sig. | | | 17-02-08, 09:45 PM | #18 (permalink) | | The next Harry Redknapp Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Birmingham (Born an Bred in Salford tho :P) Posts: 685 Thanks: 64 Thanked 111 Times in 94 Posts | gotcha sounds like a challenge well worth doin mate, could prove to be quite popular if it's planned right, lets us know if u come up with anythin else aswell mate, same goes to everyone else, the more ideas the merrier =P | Current Game :- Zenit St. Petersburg 07/08 RFPL Winner | | | 18-02-08, 05:20 PM | #19 (permalink) | | Used In Squad Rotation Join Date: Aug 2006 Posts: 453 Thanks: 26 Thanked 53 Times in 40 Posts | "You never win anything with kids!" The words of Alan Hanson that came back to haunt him. But can you make them haunt him again. Take a team to the quadruple with a team with no players over the age of 24.
