I know Fed has done a Member Of The Year award, and any other staff member may be planning some more awards, but halfway through January and with no sign of further activity I thought maybe I should have a go at producing some awards that a staff member could possibly post for other members to vote for.
The idea of this thread is for you to give me feedback on the awards i am proposing and possibly suggest other awards i could produce. Rather than deciding the nominations myself, I think it would be better if the rest of you decide who you think deserves a chance at winning an award. Here are my proposed awards:
Staff Member Of The Year: This is possibly the biggest award and so I think Fed may be planning it anyway, but just in case he isn't I thought I may as well put it down. Basically it's as it says, which staff member has been the best this year!:D
Most Comitted Member Of The Year: This is the member who you think has been the most committed to the site, the member who is always around to help other members out.
Shoutbox Commitment Award: This is the member who is always present in the shoutbox to help you and other members out, or is just fun to be around in the shoutbox.
Most Popular Member: This is the member who everyone loves and is popular amongst the majority of the users on the site.
Career Of The Year: This is the member who has had the best season on FM this year, whether they produced amazing things with a lowly team, or managed to take the Champions League with a true underdog, it doesn't matter, but who do you think has had the game of the year?
Graphics Project of The Year: This award is for the member who has created the greatest graphics project this year, which has been downloaded by hundreds of people an is vastly popular throughout the site.
File Of The Year: This is for the best file of the year, whether it is a database update or a useful file.
Best Newcomer: This award is for the best newcomer to the site in 2007. This member has to be popular with other members and a regular on the site, they also have to have joined the site in 2007 obviously!
Blooper Of The Year: This is for the member who made the biggest mistake this year. In footy, this award would go to a player who scored a silly own goal or missed a complete sitter. (Hope that's clear?)
Fight Of The Year: I know its not great for the site to see fights in the shoutbox, but it is quite amusing to watch members going at it, defending their teams and getting really worked up about it!
Wonderkid Of The Year: This award is for the young player who you have bought on your FM seasons who has proved to be a great talent at a young age.
Bargain Of The Year: This is for the player you have bought on FM who has been best value for money.
Player Of The Year: This is for the player that you think has been the best on FM this year.
Tactic Of The Year: This is for the member who released the best game winning tactic.
Donator Of The Year: This is for the donator who you think has made the best contribution to the site.
That's all i can think of for now, if you have any better ideas please can you suggest them!

that was my game wozza, got Peterborough to Europe in 6 seasons, won league 2 1st season, won league 1 2nd season, where as liveru didnt, came 7th in championship 3rd season, 10th 4th season adn 3rd and won play off final 6-5 5th season and came 7th 6th season which was 1st in the prem and got into Uefa cup. |
