Oxford 1-0 Eastleigh MOM: Ian Ross (Oxford) We weren’t really going to win, and despite having more possession, they took their chances and we didn’t. Eastleigh’s assistant manager Gerry McGeough contract has been terminated by Eastleigh.
Eastleigh has appointed Gordon Ewen as their new assistant manager. This is Henian Su’s third assistant in two years now. Our scouting knowledge on Africa is increasing slowly now. Eastleigh 0-1 Stevenage MOM: Steve Morison (Stevenage) Stevenage continues their unbeaten run as they beat Eastleigh 1-0 and Stevenage should’ve score really. Dag & Red 2-0 Eastleigh MOM: Dan Barker (Dag & Red) The first time I tried my new away tactic and although we lost today, I do see an improvement so its not all for nothing. Eastleigh will play rivals Salisbury City in the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round. The game will be played at Silverlake Stadium on 25th October 2008.
Eastleigh 3-0 Rochdale MOM: Jamie Brown (Eastleigh) Despite Rochdale seemingly control the game in the horrible pitch conditions, we fought well and substitute Jamie Brown scored two goals, which saw us beat promotion favourites. Forest Green 2-2 Eastleigh MOM: Jamie Brown (Eastleigh) I used a new away tactic and it seemed to work pretty well, until I lost in the last minute as they went really attacking and the likes of Fleetwood meant they got the late equalizer which I hate the most. Overview:
This month has been a decent month, although the previous saved file crashed, this could be a blessing in disguise, as we were 13th this time last saved game, but now we’re 7th! I hope we continue our good form. It’s also given me a chance to improve my away tactic. Our finance is slowly going back to the positives which is encouraging. The FA Cup draw against Swindon wasn’t the best but we’ll have to make do.
League Table:
Thanks for reading this months update, will update next month's progress in a week or twos time. Please comment and feel free to comment about the away tactic.
