Highs, Lows and Mid-Table Gloom

I must admit, hopes were high after turning over United in such style and it even sparked a mini revival in fortunes....

W 3-1 v Empoli (UEFA Champions League)

W 2-1 v Fulham (Premier League)

W 3-0 v Middlesborough (Premier league)

But this is Liverpool, and another slump is never far away....

L 0-1 v Getafe (UEFA Champions League)

D 2-2 v Portsmouth (Premier league)

L 1-2 v Chelsea (Premier league)

W 3-1 v Derby (Premier League)

D 0-0 v leicester (Premier League)

L 0-1 v Birmingham (Premier League)

By this time, things are getting deperate...for the first time ever I get a message suggesting Stevie G gets the players together for a team meeting...sounds ominous...but it has some short term effect....

W 2-1 v West Ham (Premier League)

And a nice morale boosting FA Cup tie and a chance to give the kids a run out...check out the name of this young re-gen who bagged 2 goals on his debut....

Now you would have thought that this would put an end to our bad run...but no, the following game it's back to square 1....

L 1-3 v Spurs (Premier League)

Surely this can't go on....Zarate joins on loan from AC Milan for the rest of the season to try and shake things up....can it work?
