 Jesus Datolo Age:23 Position: AML Club: Boca Juniors Value: £400-1.2 million Nationality: Argentinian In Real Life: Jesús Alberto Dátolo born May 19, 1984 in Carlos Spegazzini is an Argentine professional football player. He currently plays for Argentinian giant Boca Juniors. He started his career at Cañuelas FC in the Argentine 4th Division in 2000. In 2002 he was signed by Banfield of the Primera Division Argentina and he broke into the first squad in 2005 and 2006, scoring seven goals. In mid-2006, Boca Juniors bought 50% of his pass and 100% of the sports rights. He has been playing as a starter since the Apertura 2007 tournament, where his performance has become increasingly better. He plays offensive midfielder on the left side, taking advantage of his great speed and exquisite left foot. In my opinion it will be only a matter of time before one of the big european sides picks this young man up. He is a flair player, much in the mould of his compatriot, Lionel Messi. On FM08: Just good enough to break into a fair few topflight first teams, this youngster should quickly establish himself as one of your first choices in midfield. No point in expecting anything else but all-out attacking from this player. Strengths: His stats are all attacking related. Flair at 15, and at 16 for Pace, Acceleration, Dribbling and Agility, he is superb at creating counter attacks and his Corners, Passing and Crossing all at 17 should ensure a fair few assists too. He is a wicked dead-ball expert (16) and good from the spot too (16). Generally his mental attributes are pretty good too, mostly 14-15, except influence and positioning. Weaknesses: As usual its what you would expect from an attacking midfielder. his Tackling and Heading, both at 8 are poor, as is his influence and jumping, both 6. His positional sense isnt great either at 7, but that should improve with experience. That said, give him the ball, and he'll be off!    Datolo in action for Boca In Conclusion:
For anyone who cannot afford £10+ million for the likes of Sobis, Quaresma or Menez, this youngster is well worth looking at. In England he will probably join most teams, may need the dreaded work permit though. Expect to pay anywhere between £750k and £1.8 million for him. Thankyou for taking the time to read this guide.
