A update on progress. I was planning on doing a beta version of England 1966 creating England 1966 and maybe another team and then releasing it for download. Unfortunately pre upload testing by me threw up the same problem that I had experienced before- the db would work fine in the editor but would cause a serious error whenever I tried to load up on FM.
I then struck upon a possible solution involving working on my db but using a working custom db (Liverpool Legends) in a seperate window to guide me and try to replicate the same basis what they did with Liverpool Legends into my own db. Alas that failed to work.
I then thought that FMF Utd V2 works and plus the team setup is what I was looking for (FMF Utd in Blue Square South). The idea I had was to edit over FMF Utd replacing them with England 1966 which would just involve changing club info, staff and player info etc etc. Unfortunately Fed rejected my request (which he was entitled to do and fair dos).
However all may not be lost and this is why. Editing over teams would work as it just involves changing team info, staff, players and so forth. Teams still stay in their respective divisions so no fiddly problems with swapping teams and that. Here is my new plan. I open up 8.02 db in the editor. Open up Blue Square Prem and take a team like Farsley (lowest rep) and just edit Farsley into England 1966 ok. Then do the same thing for any other teams i create. That may cause the problem of country of origin as if I did Brazil 1970s for example they are from Brazil and would they be out of pace in an English league? Although in real life several welsh teams play in the english leagues so I would appreciate your thughts on that please.
Also England 1966 is a definate team I am doing but what other teams did you guys want me to do? Original plan was 4 teams so I need another 3 teams. FIFA Legends and Brazil 1970s proved very popular choices- do I do them? If so I need one more team. Suggestions welcome.
