Crookes Crash out of Cup!

Crookes were beten 1-0 by Blue Square South's Bognor Regis in a game where luck played a major part in the result. Even though Crookes had most of the ball and had alot more shots than their opponents, Bognor Regis got the nly goal of the game when Scott Harris played in an offside Luke Nightingale who hammered past Jason Healy after 24 minutes, but that wasn't the end of the controversy. In the 40th minute, Ryan Taylor broke through the defence and was brought down from behind by Mark Knee in the box, but the referee didn't give the penalty. Crookes kept the pressure on throughout the game and made the breakthrough on 77 minutes when sub Thomas took the ball around the keeper and slot it home but it was ruled offside, even though replays show he was onside. Manager Darling who was out for the match due to a small calf injury was furious with the officials and showed this in an interview with Crookes AFC.co.uk. "The referee was poor, he made poor decisions and refused to listen to both the players and even his officials, I have made a complaint to the FA and hope that referee's like that are removed from the game so that decisions like the ones today don't happen.
