I was for a long time. This works for me though....
When I come across both of these tactics I use the basic 4-3-3, keeping most of the options on default with the exeption of passing (click left till it goes short) and tempo (click right till it goes quick). Also use a strong forward and click the Use target man. Finally click the counter attack option.

Another quick tip is to set your pre game instructions to close down the AMC all of the time as this guy will usually be the outlet for all attacks against you.
