I opened the top draw and it contained the keys to everything in the training ground and a little note stuck on it – “From Ru.” It said. It took me 30 seconds or so to open the 2nd drawer and when I eventually managed to open it up it contained a considerable amount of paper. Every coach and scout at the club had compiled a report on every single player at the club. Even Ru had written 1 or 2, he wants to be a coach so badly. After I had looked through a few of them, my Chairman, Geoffrey Robinson walked in to discuss the transfer budget. I could see in his eyes that it wasn’t going to be good. He eventually told me that I have nothing to spend in this window because of his gambling debts. Once he gets his feet on the ground he will give me a bit to spend, I wasn’t happy about this but what can I do? Geoffrey Robinson - Gambling Additction.. 10 minutes after that asshole Geoffrey left, my staff arrived. All 9 of them – from my Assistant Manager to my Fitness Coach. They explained that they knew Geoff had given me nothing to spend and that they had done some scouting and ringing around and compiled a list of players that would probably be available to sign for nothing or to loan, which was the case for most of them. I thanked them all individually and reminded them that there jobs were safe for the time being. When they had gone I looked at the list of players, there were 30 names on it. Players like Carlton Cole and Steve Sidwell… |
