Real Life. Youssouf Hadji is a Moroccan footballer who plays as an attacker. He currently plays for AS Nancy-Lorraine in Ligue 1, the top football division in France.
Hadji started his career at Nancy in Ligue 1 under the guidance of Laszlo Bölöni. Nancy were relegated to Ligue 2 in 2000, but Hadji remained loyal and played on for another three seasons.
In 2003, he decided to pack his bags and move to Corsica to play for SC Bastia in Ligue 1. After his old team were relegated at the end of his second season there, he reunited with Bölöni at Rennes. In Brittany, he wasn't a regular starter but contributed largely to their season with 3 goals and 3 assists.
On January 10, 2007, Hadji re-joined Nancy from Rennes for an estimated £1.2m.
He has an older brother, Mustapha Hadji, who is a former Moroccan international.
The brother of Mustapha Hadji was decisive in his beginnings (three goals in his first three matches. In spite of an obvious desire, he never succeeded in completely convincing Laszlo Bölöni and Pierre Dréossi, the latter leaving him more once on the bench into 2006/2007. Since then he has found himself a prominent part of the team.

Strengths. Youssouf is a fairly dertermined player that is good in the air. His work rate is not something to be ignored either. His long throws are exceptional which would be good for attacking throws. His also got great close control, just don't expect him to beat men with his skill.
Weaknesses. There are no real weaknesses for a midfielder. His marking and tackling leaves a lot to be desired, as does his corners but apart from that, I can't see any problems with this player.
My Verdict. I don't actually think this fella is anything special. Not for the top flight of English football. I reckon he'd be a leading Championship star (like his brother) but I honestly believe he'd struggle in the EPL. Maybe he'd perform for a newly promoted team but established teams he wouldn't fit in.
