Wednesday 29th August 2007 - Carling Cup 2nd Round Match
Crystal Palace 1-0 Queens Park Rangers
Team: Camp, Gilbert, Albrechtsen, Hall, Mancienne, Mahon, Murphy (Buszaky 45), Leigertwood, Barazite, Anichebe, Bolder (C)
Goalscorers:
Attendance: 17,500
Opinions: Obviously disappointed but we couldn't win every match this season, we had to go out of the cup to someone just disappointed it wasn't a more high profile team. HAppy with the display though Shefki Kuqi managed to outmuscle Leigertwood from a corner and nod home from close range. Anichebe missed a few sitters and Barazite was fairly disappointing in a more advanced role. Onwards and upwards though we should learn from it.

Other Cup Scores
Leeds 0-3 Sheff Utd
Aston Villa 2-1 Bristol Rovers
Birmingham 1-0 Doncaster
Wolves 1-2 Tranmere
Newcastle 1-1 p Nottm Forest :o
Wigan 2-1 Bristol City

Pike Wins Manager Of The Month
QPR's rookie manager Lee Pike has scooped the August manager of the month award. Pike has guided QPR to the top of the championship after winning his first 3 league games without letting a goal in against. It's a good achievement consider he's new to the game with little experience what so ever.

The trophy in all it's prime

Saturay 1st September 2007 - Championship Match 4
Wolves 2-0 Queens Park Rangers
Team: Camp, Gilbert, Albrechtsen, Hall, Mancienne, Mahon (Connally 32), Murphy, Leigertwood, Ambrose, Beckford (Vine 75), Bolder
Goalscorers:
Attendance: 21,406
Opinions: Back to back defeats isn't good. Also the injury to Beckford is another spot of bad news. Mancienne messed this up though, we were easily coping with Wolves but once he went the game went out of the window. Stephen Elliott broke through the defence to tap home then Freddy Eastwood from the penalty spot made it 2. Must win game next at home to Plymouth, can't really afford another defeat after a solid first few games to the season.

Saturday 15th September 2007 - Championship Match 5
Queens Park Rangers 2-0 Plymouth Argyle
Team: Camp, Gilbert, Lee, Hall, Albrechtsen, Barazite, Murphy, Leigertwood, Rowlands, Anichebe (Vince 45), Buszaky (Bolder 45)
Goalscorers: Daryly Murphy pen 52, Rowan Vine 74
Attendance: 14,760
Opinions: Get in there, 3 points back on the scoreboard. Should of really gone in to half time leading were never really troubled. Plymouth only had 2 clear cut chances and failed to make them pay. Murphy got brought down inside the area and converted it himself then Vine scored a well placed long range effort to leave Plymouth stunned. Just went back to basics, Barazite played more deeper than previously and Rowlands made his first appearance of the season.

Wednesday 19th September - Championship Match 6
Crystal Palace 1-1 Queens Park Rangers
Team: Camp, Gilbert, Lee, Albrechtsen, Hall, Mahon (Leigertwood 90), Murphy (Buszaky 74), Delaney, Ambrose, Anichebe (Beckford 45), Bolder
Goalscorers: Martin Albrechtsen 34
Attendance: 21,493
Opinions: Tough game against a team who knocked us out of the cup. In a way a point is good but to squander a lead is disappointing. Palace now go 7 games unbeaten so maybe a point isn't that bad a result considering. Anichebe really doesn't look the part following that hatrick earlier on in the season and barely posed a threat hence why Beckford came on at half time. Overall though a point is probably fair both keepers pulled off saves in what was a wide open game
League Pos: 2nd

Speroni: Man of the match
