Aberdeen are a very inconsistent team because a few years ago they were bottom of the SPL but now they have turned that around and are the 3rd best team in Scotland. Last season they achieved a Euro Cup place, which they deserve for turning their fortunes around. The last time they won a European competition was in 1983, when they won the European Cup Winners Cup and the Super Cup. The manager was none other than Sir Alex Ferguson.

Never been Aberdeen but the squad average age is 25, so it is fairly young, so experience maybe needed to help tutor the younger players. The midfield seems secure enough but a goalscorer is needed. Due to Euro Cup duties, at least another player is needed for all positions to enable you to rotate. A recommended player is David Van Zanten, who will cost around £85k. He can play up the right side, he can play right defence, wing back and midfield. He is a very consistent performer and will be perfectly adequate as cover or first team player.
