Recommendations: Players to buy/loan: I personally recommend you purchase a Right midfielder, Centre midfielder and a Striker. On a previous game I got Chris Eagles on loan from Man Utd as the required Right midfielder. I also got Tamir Cohen on loan from Bolton as the required Centre midfielder. As for the striker, I got Alex Fernandez who many of you ‘FMers’ will already know.
Possible Star Player: Denis Souza: I personally believe Denis Souza to be the strongest player Barnsley has, he is very good at Centre Back, he has the required stats, Heading, Marking, Tackling, Jumping and Strength.
In the spoiler below is a screenshot of Denis Souza’s stats on FM08.
Overall: Overall I believe Barnsley is to be managed by good accomplished ‘FMers’. Barnsley are a hard challenge. One of the challengers of managing them is to remain in the league which can be quite difficult with such a small transfer and wage budget and very little staff.
