QPR Announce An Unknown.
Championship side Queens Park Rangers have announced unknown rookie Lee Pike as manager. Pike will take charge of the first team affairs with immediate effect following the mutual release of Luigi De Canio. This will be Pike's first managerial job and the pressure will certainly be on considering the funds and the ambition of the current owners. Pike was said to be a hardcore Leeds fan back in his day and would do anything possible to help his team. The only concern to people is that how Pike will react under pressure, he was a party animal many moons ago and must change his ways to a more professional manner. Many fans are disappointed with the decision although many are glad Peter Reid wasn't installed.

In His Youth

QPR Recall Walton and Transfer List 5.
It only took Lee Pike a couple of days before setting out his stalls and his first piece of business was recalling Simon Walton from Hull. Simon was brought up through the youth setup at Leeds United before moving to Charlton.

"I'm a huge admirer of Simon Walton, he can break up play and setup attacks. He's also very young and can play an important part in the future of QPR." Pike said.

Matthew Connally, Zesh rehman, Gareth Ainsworth, Dexter Blackstock and Patrick Agyemang are all transfer listed. With only 3 strikers in the first team the listings of Agyemang and Blackstock must signal his intent to go out and purchase a forward or two. Although Pike has suggested players will not be sold unless a replacement has been bought.

"We don't have the biggest squad at the minute which is slightly worrying but we're building it up bit by bit and hopefully there will be a few people arriving in very soon with the odd few moving on. I definately hope to bring in a striker possibly on loan but there are a few negotiations happening as we speak now".
