The stupidest one I have heard recently was last august, it circulated briefly that Spurs were looking to sign Carlos Puyol from Barcelona, then follow that up by re-capturing freddy kanoute. We have three spurs fans where I work and for days they were lording a magnificent transfer coup over the rest of us. suffice to say once they had only signed Bent and lost the first game of the season to sunderland they went a bit quiet. |
