After considering it very hard, the chairman of Dagenham and Redbridge, Dave Andrews, decided to take Alex Seth on as the new manager.
Alex is a 30 year old manager, from Liverpool, England. He also has a second nationality of Indian as this is where his father was born.
Taking over at Dagenham and Redbridge was a tough choice for him, as he has been a life long Liverpool fan, and has never thought of having anything to do with any other club.
The very inexperienced manager has never been in professional football before, and has only really played football at the sunday league level, where he was forced to stop playing after a horrific injury after a tackle by an opposition player. Alex broke his knee, and coulnd't afford a proper operation to fix it. But all this inspired him to become more involved in the game, and eventually take up managing.
He is due to take over on the 1st July 2007, and, although the fans are still unsure about this appointment, Alex cannot wait!
