Well I'll never forget 11.20am wednesday the 5th march 2008. Myself Walkinshaw and Arsenal_ch15 absoloutely glued to the Gillette Soccer Shoutbox Vidiprinter as one of the most nerve-wracking moments in lower league football history played out.
We witnessed the elation as Bromley took the lead early on only for the anguish later as their nemesis opponents Lewes stumble into a 2-1 lead against Cambridge and finally the unbridled joy as Bromley finished 3-1 winners as Lewes could only draw and see their league status disappear. The overjoyed fans, the champagne flowing in the dresing room, all against the odds, truly a great escape!
Well I'm starting to sound like Jeff Stelling now, so I want to thank GFM for such an entertaining hour on the shoutbox, well done with your acheivement mate and hopefully next season with the mighty Bromley will continue to get better and better. |
