Just finished the 1st season, managed to win the Premiership with a great team and now added some killer players to slightly improve it. Had a great first half in the league(undefeated) , the second didn't really go so well(4 losses and a lot of draws) but luckily Man U and Arsenal had a pretty bad season so I managed to come on top (2 points more than Man U).
I'm out of transfer money and losing ~1 mil pounds every month but who cares, Portsmouth is rich
, actually you'd be surprised to see how I spent everything when I took over the team and a few months later the chairman gave me an extra 20 mil transfer money.
This is my current best eleven, but everybody in my first team is damn good. I strongly reccomend Arshavin as a AMC and the couple Palacio - Fonseca as strikers, all 3 scored over 50 goals together. Palacio and Arshavin are perfect free rolers, so be sure to tick that box if you ever buy them.
I went for a 4-1-2-1-2 and 4-1-2-2-1(with a target man), maximum allowed size pitch and wing-play. No problems in the defence department, Sol Campbell is a natural leader and coupled with Distin or Ignashevic, they're very good.
tip: buy 2 good (if possible world-class) physios, they saved my players a lot of injuries and time out.
