BREAKING NEWS Aston Villa today announced that they have appointed a new manager. Rookie manager James McMahon, who enjoy working with Martin O'Neill at Celtic, was today announced the Aston Villa manager. Martin O'Neill is said to have reccomended him to the Aston Villa board. McMahon said,
"I am thrilled to be given the Aston Villa job. I want to thank Martin for mentioning my name. I am still a rookie manager and I can accept that some fans wont be happy with my appointment, but I have big plans for Villa and have a few players in mind that I would like to bring here. I would like to be in the Champions League by 2010, and should have no problem in doing that because I have been given a wonderful budget to bring in new faces."
However, McMahon refused to tell us what players who would like to see in a Villa top or exactly how much money he has been given. McMahon also said,
"I have only been at the club for a short period of time, but I have sent out all 4 scouts at the clubs having a look at a few players I would like to sign. I am not saying who, you will hopefully find out within the next few days."
Villa Park will be expanded. McMahon did tell us though that to achieve what he wants to, Villa Park will need to be expanded. Randy Lerner also announced that he will be investing into the Villa Park expansion 2008.
