Aston Villa have completed the £10M signing of Fabricio Coloccini from Deportivo La Coruna in a 4 year deal.
Jean Makoun II has put to pen to paper on a 4 year contract with Portsmouth, and will sign from Lille if he is granted a Work Permit.
Liverpool have failed in fourbids for three defenders. Ajax have rejected an initial £7.5M offer for John Heitinga, and a second £9.5M offer. Liverpool will not be pursuing their interest in Daniel Alves, after Sevilla rejected their improved £30.5M bid. They will also not be following up their enquiry for Inter Milan and Brazil defender Maicon, after the Italian club demanded £39M for his services.
