  Merson Happy with First Games
Following his first two England games, the boss Clive Merson said that he was happy after England managed to beat Belgium 2-0 in a friendly and Romania 2-0 in a Euro 2008 qualifier. Both matches were away. Merson told reporters " I'm very happy we managed to get good results in tough away places,all i hope now is that we play better in our upcoming home matches against Scotland and Faroe Islands ". When asked about the reaction to his squad Merson replied " I was expecting it,it happens to every England manager even the great Alf Ramsey".
