Long-awaited Juventus - Torino derby was suddenly off the front page yesterday when Granata manager, the great Tanel Tursk, announced that he'll retire with lung cancer after this game. He wanted to leave the managerial post on a high note with this game and promised a great display to the fans. Rolando Bianchini and Cedric Konan couldn't pay their last game under his guidance, but Alexis Sanchez got the chance due to Bianchi injury. Torino got off to the start they wished, Riccardo Montolivo free-kick found Elvis Abbruscato unguarded as the strikers quick movements set him free of any defender before banging a powerful shot through between hands of Gianluigi Buffon. Players were desperate to give Tursk a goodbye he'll never forget and three minutes later Simone Barone pass found Elvis Abbruscato, who got rid of the defender, but his fabulous powerful curling shot from edge of the area bounced back off the post. Luckily Sanchez was right there to tap it in, 6 minutes gone and Torino was 2:0 up. Sanchez tried a hard volley, but his shot from tough angle didn't even go close to the net before Torino grabbed a third. Sanchez was involved with his cross getting deflected into the path of Simone Barone whose half-volley from 13 meters found the bottom near corner of Buffon's goal. Juventus got their first chance on 21st minute when Valeri Bojinov through pass caught Torino defence off the guard and Giampaolo Pazzini got his feet in, but Marcelo Grohe was there to deny it. On 29th minute, Torino got the fourth goal, very similiar to third goal. Riccardo Montolivo crossed form the left, ball took a little deflection and Simone Barone got ahead of Manuele Blasi to half-volley the ball into the same place he had before. Game calmed down for about 10 minutes, but then Marcelo Grohe had to prove an absolutely outstanding save on Marco Marchionni as the midfielder was left free on edge of the area, Brazilian goalkeeper amazingly got his hand to the ball despite being slightly out of the goal and Bojinov follow-up was blocked by Gabriel Tamas. Tamas soon took the captain's arm band as Alessandro Rosina limped off the pitch. With great round of applause, Rosina asked for another armband to give to Tamas as he put the one he had wore to the hand of Tursk. Torino went to the half-time break with 4:0 lead against Juventus and were offering a great goodbye for Tursk. After the break, Mauro Camoranesi broke into the area, but shot over with no-one even close to him. Bacary Sagna cross found Valeri Bojinov for a header, but Grohe got his fingertips to it. Then even better chance followed for Juventus. Valeri Bojinov was saved one on one. Manuele Blasi got a follow-up shot, but Daniele Bonera made a fantastic acrobatic block to keep the ball from going towards the net and Camoranesi low shot was deflected low towards near post where it was easy catch for Grohe. Lasse Qvist replaced Alexis Sanchez and Gianluca Comotto came on for Marco Andreolli before Simone Barone shot his free-kick over the bar. There was one more goal to come, Elvis Abbruscato received the ball in his own half, went on an amazing diagonal run past three Juventus players before being tripped in the box by Alessio Tacchinardi. Referee pointed to the spot, but was light on Tacchinardi even when it should've been red for a last-man foul. Antonio Di Natale stepped up and converted it without big problems and opened up a shirt that he pointed towards Tursk: "Thanks for making our dreams come true." There was one last chance for Juventus, but Bojinov shot over from central position as final whistle ended with 5:0 win for Torino on board, probably the most emotional derby win ever. As the final whistle blew, Tanel Tursk and lot of the fans burst into tears as the manager went to thank the fans in the stands after the game. Encouraging his assistant manager Antoine Rodriguez to continue the project, he leaves the club in best possible shape, only wins in league and qualification to 1st knock-out stage of Champions League.
