Torino is the champion of Italy! Turin giants are no longer sleeping as 2:0 win over Parma with Roberto Stellone goals got them the 8th title!
Torino was without several players as they went for a game that could win them a title. One win short of 8th Italian Serie A title, they went away to Parma without Nicolae Mitea, Stefano Fiore, Andrea Mei, Marco Andreolli and Marco Rossi.
Marco Di Loreto was handed another start at the back of a flat 4-4-2 formation as the possible legendary match of Torino was whistled by Gianluca Paparesta.
Torino had the first chance of the match as Silva's cross found Antonio Di Natale free in the area, winger couldn't capitalize from his chance and amazingly shot over from 13 meters.
At other end Angelo's free-kick found Vitaly Kutuzov as the Belorussian tried curling shot from edge of the area, but Marcelo Grohe was equal to it, parrying the shot at near post.
Silva then went on an amazing run past two defenders, but selfishly hit the side net as Elvis Abbruscato was waiting for the pass at far post with Parma defenders left behind.
Alessandro Rosina shot from 25 metres out was punched away by Luca Brunoni and cleared for throw-in later. Less than minute later Rosina's cross found Antonio Di Natale free at the far post and even though his shot was saved, Roberto Stellone tapped in the loose ball for his 16th goal of the season.
Domenico Morfeo shot miles wide from long range before Julio Ricardo Cruz limped off the pitch. On 29th minute Silva robbed the ball from his substitute Feret and blasted a brilliant shot towards near post immediately, but he was denied with great save of Brunoni.
Ten minutes later Torino did double their lead. Antonio Di Natale intercepted a bad pass of Parma and sent Roberto Stellone through on goal, striker didn't make no mistake, rounding goalkeeper and finishing low at far post to put visiting fans to ecstasy.

After restarts Rosina couldn't get the ball curling on the edge of the area after receiving a pass from Marco Pisano as he shot wide.
Few minutes later Torino suffered more sad news, Simone Padoin, who had been brilliant throughout the game, limped off with an injury and Raffaele Schiavi came on to replace him on the right side of defence.
Simone Barone then headed over free-kick of Rosina before Grohe caught Morfeo's shot.
Roberto Stellone also couldn't get the ball on target after receiving great pass from Abbruscato as he hit it wide from very tough angle to score from.
Simone Barone left the pitch for Nikola Lazetic with standing ovation for his central midfield antics and his replacement immediately tried from distance, but the ball flew wide.
Vitaly Kutozov was absolutely free on the edge of the area when he received Domenio Morfeo's pass as Torino's defence couldn't clear the ball, but it wasn't his day at all as he managed to hit the ball wide from central position he was in.
Domenico Morfeo's shot ballooned over Torino's goal on final minute as 30 seconds later, Raffaele Schiavi's clearance was followed by the final whistle, a whistle that ended 32 years of wait for Torino fans.
It was clubs 8th Scudetto as players, fans and rest of Torino invaded Ennio Tardini in mad celebrations as players were poured into champagne with players and fans singing together. Even with a loss they would've still become champions as Inter and Sampdoria both lost.
