Craig Gordon also a former Hearts player was on the top list to sign for Boyces plans for a fee of 4.9 million and Boyce reckons he will become a key player for the club!

Leighton Baines was Boyce's 2nd choice to sign as a LB but Gareth Bale had already left to Chelsea but Boyce was'nt to worried as he thought Leighton could do the job! and was signed for 7 million.
Michael Tonge 
Michael Tonge was signed by Boyce for 4.5 million and thought Michael was the man to back up to his first team Midfielders if any unfit/injuries to players occured!
