What I have also learnt in these few games is that you cant always rely on a stable 4-4-2 and even more so with a team of 21 players... 3-4 injuries and I am really up agaisnt the wall atm... 3 out and out strikers.. and 1 injured leaves me with the choice of playing 2 upfront and risking injuries and burnout... OR do I go 4-5-1 and play for draws??? I got offered a keeper but turned it down cause I felt it wasnt part of the challenge.. In cup matches I have seen these as a chance to rest players and play stupid formations just to give other players a run.. I've played 5 at the back and 4-1-4-1... with 2 keepers they are both working on a rotation basis.. and with neither of them being brilliant keeping a clean sheet is not easy. As you can see I am 5 pts clear of the drop zone... after losing my last match 4-1 which was a killer since I was unbeaten for a run before that... but with injuries what can i expect! Making subs during the match at crucial times to rest players is also someting else I have had to really concentrate on and not really looking at the score. So far I have been lucky and not had any players being unhappy about being subbed when they are doing well... Board are still happy with me.. |
