Default Reggae Boys hook up

The last thing I needed was not to be available for selection due to me not training. Today I devised an indoor circuit course, that me and the kids thoroughly enjoyed and yet was left crawling by the end. This is exactly what was needed to get me fit for five aside.

Once back at my desk, i found a leter of thanks from my chairman who announced that due to my management of the finances the club had gone from £300k+ in the red to just £88k. Come next season I might just get some transfer money to spend. With the Trophy match fast approaching Patterson was unlikely to recover in time. On the positive front I brought in a new player to try to freshen up things. I viewed it as a short term soloution to us sliding down the table.

Unfortunately new signing Danny Carter could not stop us from a cup exit losing at home to Staylbridge. he made a promising debut but I carried an injury through most of the game and ended up gifting them the winner.

We travelled to Gainsborough as we seeked to pick ourselves off the floor but the trip proved friutless. Boro were playing way above expectations this season and were flying high in 7th spot. In my pre match interview I stated that we would win if we played to our maximum. Fat chance as I boarded a plane to represent Jamaica and win my very first cap. My assistant was left to pick up the peices in a 4-1 thrashing with Rodger Wiliams grabing a consolation goal.

Sunning myself with my international team mates on Montego Bay, news filtered through to me that we were thrashed again in our next match. This time 3-1 away at Worksop which saw Leam Coyne grab a consolation. Defender Sykes was sent off for violent behaviour and will now be suspended to add to our long injury list.

My international debut was very forgetable in a 1-0 win over Guadleloupe and a slightly improved outing in a 1-2 win at Aruba. In the 10 hour flight back home I had a lot to think about as a promising start at FC was sinking into a relegation fight if not careful.

I was welcomed back home but sensed that things were not ok amongst the fans, as one look at the attendance figures testified. Next up was the visit of 13th placed Droylsden. They were on a 3 game unbeaten streak whilst we were on a losing streak. I was determined to change our fortunes by playing my best ever game for FC. That's exactly what happened as I put us 1-0 up on 17 minutes. Victory seemed ours until the 80th minute which saw the madness of 3 goals. Anthony Robinson was among the scorers in a 2-2 draw. I was fuming after the whistle as their equaliser seemed offside. You get no luck it seems when your down the bottom end. Added to my misery was the injury to our best defender Leam Coyne who's out for 2-4 weeks.

My critics started to come out of hiding and publicise the fact that my players and I are letting the club down. I was not alone in the media hot pot as Millwall sacked Nigel Spackman and hired Willie Donachie.
In other news Valencia's David Villa won the World Player of the Year Award with Henry and Ronaldinhio coming 2nd and 3rd.

Thanks for tuning in, please join us again for another "Fly on the Wall".
