Rangers striker Freddy Eastwood today managed to net his first Gers goal as Ross Dunbar's men fought hard for a 3-1 victory. Eastwood got his goal after 63mins when a long ball upfield by Alan Hutton was well won and headed over the Motherwell Keeper by the former Southend Striker. Rangers got the second 8mins later when a terrific left-foot strike from Skipper Barry Ferguson flew into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area after a short corner from Silva. Motherwell pulled a goal back immediatley after the Rangers goal when a darting run and cross from Calum Elliot was headed home by Jim Paterson. The Gers rapped up the points when Ferguson got his second after good play by Luka Modric on the wing producing a great cut-back by the Croatian and the on-rushing Skipper fired home.

Rangers rested a number of key players for this afternoon's trip to Falkirk including Skipper Barry Ferguson, Kris Boyd and Luka Modric. Rangers opened the scoring here at the Falkirk Stadium when Kirk Broadfoot headed home his first Rangers goal from a Silva corner. Stand-in Skipper Brahim Hemdani set up the second with an inch-perfect pass through to Filip Sebo and the Slovakian fired home past Scott Higgins. It took the Gers a long time to wrap up the game but they created a few other good openings but a lack of composure infront of goal denied Rangers a more the 2-0 half-time lead. Substitute Freddy Eastwood got the third after 85mins when a poor backpass from Darren Barr allowed Freddy Eastwood in and he easily flicked the ball past the Falkirk No.1. Rangers will now take a break for the International Call-Ups and Ross Dunbar will then prepare for his first Old Firm Derby at Ibrox on the 9th September with possibly some new faces including Kevin Thomson, Scott Brown, Steven Fletcher, Steven Whittaker all from SPL side Hibs.
