Il Granata sign Brazilian goalkeeper

Turin, 21st of July 2006 - Torino today announced that they have captured 20-year old Brazilian goalkeeper Andre Zuba.

Zuba who has attracted loads of interest from the Serie A signed the deal in Sao Paolo yesterday evening with one Torino offical and they come back together to Italy tomorrow.

According to Torino manager Tanel Tursk the goalkeeper who is going to replace Christian Abbiati has got great handling and due to that is fantastic with coming out of goal, but may take some time to settle in Italy so asked the fans to be patient with the young future hope.

Toro fans though don't seem to be convinced with him replacing one of the best goalkeepers in the country, Abbiati, so Tursk may be opted to bring in someone third beside Taibi and Zuba.

It is unclear though who may join, but as for the future Tursk is saying that Zuba has the ability to become the number one for the Turin side and he'll hopefully enjoy some fantastic displays againist Juventus.

"I saw him play in couple of matches in Brazil as I was there to due my little own scouting trip. He was fantastic and once he settles in he has a huge chance of becoming fans favourite," told owner Cairo to Gazzetta dello Sport to convince the fans.

Torino paid the buy-out clause of £300 000 for the Palmeiras player who also has an Italian passport, but cannot speak the language.
