Tursk got his years of fame being the manager of a legendary FC Universitatea Cluj side in Romania and guiding them to three consecutive Champions League finals. Happy Torino fans around the hotel He took over at the Romanian outfit at 20-years old, but now after nearly fifteen years out of football as he won the Champions League he has opted to return. He was the first option after Alberto Zaccheroni never got to Turin despite agreeing to sign the contract as he passed out while doing some gardening outside at his home. Tursk was given a try-out year by his own requests, as Torino originally offered a three year contract to the Estonian who also has a Romanian passport. Reports from Turin have said that Torino fans are really happy with the appointment, as Tursk is remembered for his energetic style by the side of the pitch and temperamental Estonian is known for his never say die attitude. And during the press conference he gave today, he stated, "I have my sincere plans to actually make an Il Grande Torino version II, but without the horrific end to the story. Though for my first priority is to beat Juventus. It's always my dream as an Inter fan. I remember beating them back in Romanian days, but this is a whole new chance." "I have my upmost respect for Granata fans. They are great, they have gotten so much undeserved suffer over the times, but this has to change. It's sad that I have to wait two years to beat Juventus, but let's fill that time differently. I plan to have passionate, joyful and exciting time here and I want to find a bond with the great dudes at the stands during my reign. I think they share my vision and view," he answered to the questions about Torino fans. Tursk will have his first day at the training ground tomorrow and it's unknown is he going to bring in any players. Last edited by Tanel; 04-12-06 at 07:46 PM. |
