If you have time, take a look to this excel file I made for rebuilding english history around 1992.
it calculates new value for any team, how many great players they must have for being closer to that reality, and rebuild a new Premier League.
Yes, I know that in 1992 teams were 22 in Premier, and this file create a premier Legue with 20 teams according the the strength of that time.
