I've not been too bad with long term games so far, the secret for me was buying plenty of hot prospects as well as established stars. That way I wanted to see how good they became. That said, I'm not sure I've ever lasted more than 5 seasons at one club.
I agree, starting up with a league you don't know much about keeps everything fresh as well as teaching you a few new things about leagues and clubs around the world.
It's no fun getting battered 4-0 every week though so I've always tried to go for a mid-table team with a bit of potential given the right players...
Anyhow, when I think of the hours of fun this game has given me, even if boredom did set in I can safely say I got more than my moneys worth. |
