Thats a brilliant guide Ru, cheers. I actually didnt realise (Being the naive countryboy) how many things there were out there to get results to go your way.
The most obvious one of course is the re-loading trick, one Im ashamed to say I used to use on LMA manager a few times when I was younger. I dont think Ive ever used it once on FM08 though, Partly because of the loading times and also (Probably cos Im old and very boring) because of the moral High Ground I tend to take on these things nowadays. I did it on fm07 a couple of times when I first bought it, but the reality soon checked in when I realised my team was always gonna lose because it simply wasnt good enough. That alone makes me (and I suspect others) strive that little bit harder to get players and tactics right.
I personally also would never download the genie things and whatever else to edit the game stats, partly because it makes a complete mockery of the game, and also because I have a suspicion of all things that do not come in a box!
Lastly I do believe the 40m trick is justifiable, I have used carrots of 10m, 15m and 20m in the past to gain players at my club that maybe in real life wouldnt have come. 40m is very excessive however and is borderline cheatment. I do believe however, there is no guarantee you can shift the player at the end of his time at the club, and if that happens it could undermine and ultimately get the manager sacked.
